JAN MUNNIK is the founder and Managing Director of EES-SIYAKHA. Jan has specialised in EE for the past 20 years and is regarded as one of the leading experts in EE transformation in South Africa. He has delivered papers at many conferences on EE and BEE and related topics and consults to several leading blue chip organisations and Government institutions. Jan started off his career in law, and practised as an advocate at the Bar for over 10 years. His passion for people and their fair and equitable treatment led him to specialise in Human Rights, Labour Law and Industrial Relations.

In 1993 Jan was appointed as the Police Reporting Officer (the forerunner to the ICD) for the Witwatersrand and Soweto Regions. Jan was a respected member of IMSSA, and served on its Arbitration, and Negotiations and Conflict Resolution Training Panels. He is also a former part-time CCMA Commissioner. In 1999 Jan facilitated the development of The EES Process and Manual, which set an industry standard for the successful implementation of EE. He has developed groundbreaking work that includes, inter alia, Equity Pro, the most sophisticated EE Planning and Monitoring Software Tool on the market, and an EE Best Practice Framework Model that has been embraced by numerous clients in implementing EE transformation.

NAT MBENGWA has a diverse business, HR and management experience of more than 20 years that spans start-ups and established organizations. He spearheaded positive changes in organisations’ culture, developing motivated staff, enhancing professionalism and leading HR operations to an increased organizational effectiveness in industries ranging from telecommunications, mining, construction, financial and engineering. Nat is a director of EES-SIYAKHA, having joined the company in September 2015. He has been a high-level EE specialist for the past four years.

Nat is a highly skilled and talented facilitator. He facilitates the training of EE Committees, EE strategy development, the conducting of audits and the development of EE Plans, inclusive of the setting of Numerical Goals using Equity Pro, a high-level EE Software application, and the generation of Affirmative Action Measures. Nat holds B Admin Hons and MBL degrees, and has completed the Global Executive Development Programme.

JOHN DICKERSON is a senior HR, EE and OD consultant. He has extensive experience in Human Resources, both as a Corporate HR Practitioner and HR Consultant. John has assisted many high-profile companies to bring their HR systems in line with best practices. After many years as a corporate HR professional, John now practises as an independent consultant. Much of this consulting has been to the Public Service at National, Provincial and Local levels, where Performance Management, Recruitment and Selection and EE transformation have been the main areas of assistance given.

He now helps organisations to comply with the requirement of Section 19 of the EE Act by facilitating the identification of "barriers" in the employer’s policies, practices, procedures and working environment by EE Committes. He further investigates the level of the employer’s HR Management capabilities, again to identify barriers. He also develops the resultant Affirmative Action Measures for inclusion in employers' EE Plans.
