The EEDT Practitioners Forum (“EEDT PF”) was launched in March 2010 by TDCI and EES-SIYAKHA, in response to widespread interest and expressed needs from the Employment Equity, Diversity and Transformation Community. The aim of the EEDT PF is to create a platform where practitioners can share information about new developments in the field, showcase best practice, benchmark against the best, and network with industry peers.
The EEDT PF has been hosted quarterly, and the slogan ‘From the EEDT community, for the EEDT community’, has guided the operational functionality of its events. The events have normally been hosted (venue and refreshments) at the premises of one of the EEDT Community members, and practitioners on the forefront of EEDT practice were asked to share their insights and best practice.
EEDT PF meetings have been highly valued and well attended by the EEDT community members.
As a result of the administrative and organisational pressure (time and resources) involved in organising the Practitioner Forums, TDCI and EES-SIYAKHA in 2016 decided to pause this initiative.
As part of their collaboration with the SABPP, and following the launching of the highly successful SABPP EEDT Awards in 2018, the EEDT PF is being relaunched in 2019.
The date and venue, as well as the new format and value adds for the EEDT community will be announced shortly.
