JAN MUNNIK

JAN MUNNIK

is the founder and Managing Director of EES-SIYAKHA. Jan has specialised in EE for the past 20 years and is regarded as one of the leading experts in EE transformation in South Africa. He has delivered papers at many conferences on EE and BEE and related topics and consults to several leading blue chip organisations and Government institutions. Jan started off his career in law, and practised as an advocate at the Bar for over 10 years. His passion for people and their fair and equitable treatment led him to specialise in Human Rights, Labour Law and Industrial Relations.

In 1993 Jan was appointed as the Police Reporting Officer (the forerunner to the ICD) for the Witwatersrand and Soweto Regions. Jan was a respected member of IMSSA, and served on its Arbitration, and Negotiations and Conflict Resolution Training Panels. He is also a former part-time CCMA Commissioner. In 1999 Jan facilitated the development of The EES Process and Manual, which set an industry standard for the successful implementation of EE. He has developed groundbreaking work that includes, inter alia, Equity Pro, the most sophisticated EE Planning and Monitoring Software Tool on the market, and an EE Best Practice Framework Model that has been embraced by numerous clients in implementing EE transformation.

NAT MBENGWA

NAT MBENGWA

has a diverse business, HR and management experience of more than 20 years that spans start-ups and established organizations. He spearheaded positive changes in organisations’ culture, developing motivated staff, enhancing professionalism and leading HR operations to an increased organizational effectiveness in industries ranging from telecommunications, mining, construction, financial and engineering. Nat is a director of EES-SIYAKHA, having joined the company in September 2015. He has been a high-level EE specialist for the past four years.

Nat is a highly skilled and talented facilitator. He facilitates the training of EE Committees, EE strategy development, the conducting of audits and the development of EE Plans, inclusive of the setting of Numerical Goals using Equity Pro, a high-level EE Software application, and the generation of Affirmative Action Measures. Nat holds B Admin Hons and MBL degrees, and has completed the Global Executive Development Programme.

MDU DLAMINI is a highly qualified Human Capital professional with over 22 years’ operational and senior management experience in the Manufacturing of Chemicals, Mining Explosives, Construction, Executive Search and Non-Profit Industries. Recently he has worked as an Executive Search Consultant engaging with C-suite leadership from various industries, helping them to identify and secure executive talent. Mdu’s experience covers strategic Human Capital management, inclusive of the entire Human Capital value chain. He has been responsible for deploying systems in business that support the effective functioning of managers including putting in place initiatives to reinforce employee engagement and retention. Mdu has developed and implemented EE management systems, facilitated companies’ BEE rating improvement and promoted line management ownership of EE objectives, and successfully launched a Talent Pool Succession Management Process with incorporated transformation targets. Mdu is passionate about transformation, change and project management, which is supported by a full grasp of continuous improvement and in-depth understanding of quality management processes and systems.

JOHN DICKERSON is a senior HR, EE and OD consultant. He has extensive experience in Human Resources, both as a Corporate HR Practitioner and HR Consultant. John has assisted many high-profile companies to bring their HR systems in line with best practices. After many years as a corporate HR professional, John now practises as an independent consultant. Much of this consulting has been to the Public Service at National, Provincial and Local levels, where Performance Management, Recruitment and Selection and EE transformation have been the main areas of assistance given.

He now helps organisations to comply with the requirement of Section 19 of the EE Act by facilitating the identification of “barriers” in the employer’s policies, practices, procedures and working environment by EE Committes. He further investigates the level of the employer’s HR Management capabilities, again to identify barriers. He also develops the resultant Affirmative Action Measures for inclusion in employers’ EE Plans.

ANNETJIE MOORE, was previously the Head: HR Audit at the SABPP, being  responsible for a diverse virtual pool (145) of senior HR Auditors and Lead Auditors who assess the overall governance, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and performance of the HRM function to support the leaders to achieve business objectives. The audit teams provided independent combined assurance under her guidance. Annetjie is highly skilled as an HR Professional, business developer and project manager. During her rich career, she was successfully involved in international executive search projects.

Annetjie holds an M.Com (LPC) and has embarked upon a PhD and is registered as a Master HR Professional at SABPP. She has been a public speaker at various conferences. Annetjie has recently become a Senior HR Consultant member of EES-SIYAKHA.

SOPH MAIFO has extensive hands-on HR experience. He has been employed by leading companies in the construction, mining, beverage and air transportation industries and has occupied numerous senior HR positions. He also served as an expert advisor to top management and organized labour at the strategic and operational level. Soph consults and facilitates in Human Capital management interventions and other performance support solutions including change management; performance improvement and management and other initiatives on how to build, manage and motivate teams at every level of the organization.

Soph acquired international experience as an Intern for Advanced Research Management Consultants Inc., based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: USA.  He particularly focused on diversity matters, succession planning, organizational audits, attitude surveys and training and facilitations at client companies.
