Adv. JAN MUNNIK is the founder and Managing Director of EES-SIYAKHA. Jan has specialised in EE for the past 23 years and is regarded as one of the leading experts in EE transformation in South Africa. He has delivered papers at many conferences on EE and BEE and related topics and consults to several leading blue chip organisations and Government institutions. Jan started off his career in law and practised as an advocate at the Bar for 10 years, where he specialised in Human Rights, Labour Law and Industrial Relations. In 1993 Jan was appointed as the Police Reporting Officer (the forerunner to IPID) for the Witwatersrand and Soweto Regions. He was also a respected IMSSA Arbitrator and Mediator and a former part-time CCMA Commissioner.
Jan has developed ground-breaking EE systems, methodologies and tools that includes, inter alia, Equity Pro, the most sophisticated EE Goal Setting and Monitoring Software Tool on the market, and an EE Best Practice Framework Model, which have been by embraced numerous clients in implementing EE transformation. He has recently assisted different Sectors with their responses to the DoE&L’s Sector Targets, including the Hospitality Sector, for which he conducted in-depth analyses and facilitated an alternative Target Model response.
NAT MBENGWA has a diverse business, HR and management experience of more than 20 years that spans start-ups and established organizations. He spearheaded positive changes in organisations’ culture, developing motivated staff, enhancing professionalism and leading HR operations to an increased organizational effectiveness in industries ranging from telecommunications, mining, construction, financial and engineering. Nat is a director of EES-SIYAKHA, having joined the company in September 2015. He has been a high-level EE specialist for the past four years.
Nat is a highly skilled and talented facilitator. He facilitates the training of EE Committees, EE strategy development, the conducting of audits and the development of EE Plans, inclusive of the setting of Numerical Goals using Equity Pro, a high-level EE Software application, and the generation of Affirmative Action Measures. Nat holds B Admin Hons and MBL degrees, and has completed the Global Executive Development Programme.
SNANZENI MHLANGA is a highly qualified, motivated and results driven Human Capital Professional with over 20 years’ experience. She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Law Degree, is a registered Master HR Professional at the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) and a certified SABPP HR Auditor/Lead Auditor. Her work experience demonstrates a strong HR leadership background, encompassing everything from creating and managing HR functions, ensuring compliance, developing talent, and effectively communicating and marketing within the organization. Her contributions have had a significant impact on the organizations she has worked with, fostering employee growth and ensuring HR best practices.
As HR Director at MBH Holdings, Snanzi mitigated regulatory risks by developing and ensuring adherence to compliance protocols, ensuring that the organization followed legal and ethical HR practices. She played a pivotal role in building an HR department creating and establishing HR processes, policies, and procedures where none existed before. She has conducted HR audits against the first internationally accepted HRM Standard Model through SABPP at multiple locations, including municipalities, hospitals in Gauteng, and a mining company in Botswana.
DERRICK THALAIVIRSAN is a highly experienced Human Capital professional. His duties have included overseeing recruitment and selection, championing performance management and managing training and development initiatives. He has worked closely with executive teams on goal setting and talent development, and sourcing and developing high-potential individuals. Derrick also has focused on EE, ensuring targets were included in performance contracts, with regular reporting on achievements. As the HR Manager and Industrial Relations Lead for the Grains Division at Tiger Brands, he developed and implemented HR initiatives that were closely aligned with business strategies. He facilitated the translation of these strategies into functional team outputs and individual agreements, playing a key role in creating and presenting the HR Strategy for the Grains Business, which covered 6,000 employees and represented half of Tiger Brands’ profit before interest and tax.
Derrick has had extensive experience with CCMA labour disputes. He has upskilled line managers in employee relations and discipline handling and concluded a Recognition Agreement with FAWU. As a consultant for EES-SIYAKHA, he has facilitated EE Committee training sessions, the conducting of Section 19 Barriers Analyses and the development of EE Plans, including the setting of Numerical Goals using Equity Pro, a high-level EE Software application, and the development of AA Measures.
TSHIDI TLALE-MALAO is a well-rounded Professional Speaker, Consultant, Facilitator, and Trainer on Diversity & Inclusion, Change Management, Leadership Development, Organisational Culture, Building & Managing Relationships, and Social Change & Public Participation. As a consultant and facilitator, Tshidi is accredited/certified on Diversity & Inclusion: accredited facilitator on “Understanding Racism & Sexism and Developing Good Practice” (CARAS, SA & OSDC, UK), Change Management: Accredited Change Management Practitioner (Prosci), and Organisational Culture: Accredited Cultural Transformation Tools (Barrett Values Centre, Michigan).
Tshidi is a Life, Transition, Executive, Leadership, and Team Coach. She is a Certified Ontological Coach. As a Coach she is a member of ICF and COMENSA. Tshidi has been an Entrepreneur focussing on Management Consulting, Facilitating, Mentoring, and Coaching for approximately 24 years. Her purpose is to make a lasting contribution to humankind and the planet by assisting organisations, communities, and individuals develop, transform, and thrive to the best of their capabilities, in order to grow and be significant and sustainable.
ANNETJIE MOORE, was previously the Head: HR Audit at the SABPP, being responsible for a diverse virtual pool (145) of senior HR Auditors and Lead Auditors who assess the overall governance, relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and performance of the HRM function to support the leaders to achieve business objectives. The audit teams provided independent combined assurance under her guidance. Annetjie is highly skilled as an HR Professional, business developer and project manager. During her rich career, she was successfully involved in international executive search projects.
Annetjie holds an M.Com (LPC) and has embarked upon a PhD and is registered as a Master HR Professional at SABPP. She has been a public speaker at various conferences. Annetjie has recently become a Senior HR Consultant member of EES-SIYAKHA.
